You do not need to know the size, the stone, the wording or the rules of the cemetery. Most families arrive knowing none of it. Bring the name of the cemetery if you have it, and we will take the rest from there.
Come to us before you buy the plot if you can. Cemeteries differ in what they allow, and sometimes one section of a cemetery differs from the next. Knowing that first saves a lot of undoing later.

The paperwork is the part nobody warns you about.
Jim Milano gave this service its name. It works the way a hotel concierge does. You are new to all of this, and we are not, so we find the way through it for you.
We hold up to date setting fees from every cemetery in Northern Ohio, and from cemeteries across the United States. We know which sections allow which stones. We handle the ordering, the design, the delivery, the installation and the time consuming paperwork.
It is offered at no cost to you. It is simply how we work.

We can take some orders over the phone, but we would rather sit with you. Appointments are welcome and walk-ins are fine.
We design it with you
A certified memorialist meets you personally. Choose from our designs or start from nothing. Before any engraving begins, you get a scale drawing to approve.
We make it
Cut, lettered, etched and finished by our own artists and craftspeople. Portraits are engraved from a photograph you give us, by hand or by laser.
We set it in place
We deal with the cemetery, the fees and the installation. Between one and six months from start to setting, depending on the memorial.
Vincent Milano opened a small store in Cleveland in 1969.
He could not do what the large memorial companies could do. What he offered instead was a heartfelt connection with customers he considered good friends and neighbours. The business grew on that, and it drew in the finest designers and craftspeople in the area, people who wanted the same thing he did.
Three generations later that is still the focus. Marie Milano co-founded the company. Jim Milano is President. Alecia Michitsch and Michael Milano are Vice Presidents. Zach Kobie runs operations and Michael Feinberg leads design.
The memorial trade is families serving families. We have never seen a reason to run it any other way.

The answers, plainly.
How long does it take?
Between one and six months, depending on the type of memorial. We can begin planning and designing at any time.
Do I have to wait six months to a year before placing a marker?
No. Most cemeteries do not have a waiting period before a memorial can be placed at a grave.
What decides the cost?
The size, the material, the finish, the lettering and the cemetery fee. Those five things account for almost all of it.
We hold the current setting fees for every cemetery in Northern Ohio, so the cemetery's share is not a guess. Come in or call and we will price your memorial properly rather than approximately.
Flat or upright: which should I choose?
Upright monuments can hold far more design and engraving than a flat memorial. But not every cemetery accepts uprights, and some cemeteries allow them in one section and not in another. Tell us the cemetery and we will tell you what is permitted before you fall in love with something.
Can you add to a memorial that is already in the cemetery?
Yes. Names, dates and new designs can all be added to a memorial already set at a grave.
Can I see it before it is engraved?
Always. Before any final engraving, you receive a scale drawing to approve. Nothing is cut until you have said yes to it.
What is an etched portrait?
An image engraved onto the memorial from a photograph you provide, done by hand or by laser. Bring the photograph you love, not the one you think will work best. We will tell you if it will.
Can I choose the colour of the stone?
Yes. The quarries we work with supply a wide range of granite colours, and our granite showcase holds rows of blank stock you can walk up to and touch. Take as long as you need.
Do you need a deposit?
We normally ask for a small good faith deposit and then get started on the design.
